Typical Damage/Nuisance Caused:
Normally their presence is just unwanted as they accidentally wander into our
living areas.
The non-dangerous Garter Snake (pictured) is the most commonly seen snake
in Michigan and in the urban areas.

Quick Facts:
The only poisonous snake in Michigan is the Massasauga Rattle Snake,
normally found near areas of water such as swamps and wetlands. People
most often encounter them on golf courses near water!
