Muskrats |
Typical Damage/Nuisance Caused: Undermining of pond / lake banks. Eating desirable water vegetation such as cattails. Quick Facts: Muskrats are great swimmers and can stay submerged for over 15 minutes. If their home is overpopulated, Muskrats will travel great distances for a new pond or lake. Muskrats are sometimes called Marsh Rabbits, and are considered a delicacy in many parts of the United States. |
