Typical Damage/Nuisance Caused:
Bats have found it desireable to roost in the attics, soffits, and in the wall voids of our
homes and other buildings.
Bats are not aggressive creatures, but they are the number one carriers of rabies in
Michigan.
Their feces also carry multiple diseases harmful to humans.
Bats can carry a mite called the "Bat Bug" which is similar to a biting "Bed Bug." These
mites are normally found with large colonies of bats.

Quick Facts:
People often refer to bats as "Rodents with Wings," but they are neither rodents nor
birds.
Bats are mammals; they have their young live and nurse them with milk.
Bats are carnivores and have sharp teeth like a cat for catching and eating insects.
Their wings are not made of feathers like a bird, but rather made of skin.
Some types of bats fly south for the winter, but many types stick around and hibernate
in tree hollows, caves, and in your attic!

FAQs:
"I had bats in my house, so I sealed up the entire exterior of my house. Now there
are more bats in my house, why?"

Well, sealing up a house is only half of the solution in dealing with
bats. You must get the bats out first. More than likely you sealed
the bats inside the house, or missed a hole a bat can enter, which
can be about the size of a dime. A complete bat exclusion solution
involves sealing up all non-active points of entrys, and installing
some type of one-way door system over active entry points to
allow bats to escape.
